Its formidable blade stretches 28.74 inches, boasting a width of 1.22 inches and a thickness of 0.28 inches, crafted meticulously from 1060 Carbon Steel renowned for its sharpness and resilience.

The tachi was the weapon of choice for the samurai class during the Heian period (794 to 1185) and into the Kamakura period (1185 to 1333). It has a more pronounced curve than a katana, especially towards the hilt, making it ideal for use on horseback.
